Speed Bump

We had a fun trip back in May to Seattle with Charlie (still trying to find time to post those pictures!) and he did awesome on the flight. Charlie and I are heading to Ohio to visit Susan this weekend...hoping for another good flight!

As you can see from his expression, Charlie wasn't so sure about this adventure. After awhile he relaxed and enjoyed the waves, watched his cousins on the innertube and even took a short nap. Next year he will be ready to water ski!

We met Charlie's cousin Haley today. She weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs 10 oz, 19 inches long. She was sleepy while we visited so Charlie is going to have to wait to show her all he knows about being a baby. Proud parents Kara and Karl looked happy and content. Haley is a lucky little girl and she doesn't even know it yet.

Charlie participated in his first race a couple weeks ago. It was a Poker run through Brookside with an 80s dress theme (which Ryan neglected to tell me or I would have worn my leg warmers and head band!) As we waited for the race to start, I worried about the rain beginning to fall.

Tomorrow is the big day. Baby Haley will arrive...pictures soon!

We celebrated Charlie's half-birthday in Lawrence with lunch at Dempsey's (sweet potato fries!!) How did 6 months go by so fast?

Ryan is still adjusting to having this in the living room.

Charlie went to his first Taco Tuesday with Ryan and Kevin. Ryan, Kevin and Mark have been carrying on the tradition for 11 years. Charlie hopes to become an honorary member.
